Who are the Hog Lordz? And who are the team behind their creation? We had the fortunate opportunity to talk with the team and discuss just that.
First of all, we want to start by saying that the Hog Lordz are really, really cool. The NFT Drop Zone loved seeing the different Hog Lordz characters. The NFTs are professionally made. J.J. Kirby, the artist that draws the Hog Lordz, is a Marvel/DC comic book artist who has worked on comic books like The X-Men, Star Wars, Spawn, X-Babies, Deadpool, Wildstorm, and New Dynamix. When did your team come up with Hog Lordz?
Back in September of 2021, we were brainstorming ideas for an NFT project and animal projects were very popular at the time. In some cultures, the Hog or the Pig represents prosperity and great wealth. In the US the Hog is commonly seen as a symbol of greed. We thought that was interesting when combined with crypto and wanted to explore that.
Which Hog Lord was the first Hog Lord?
The OG Hog was the first Hog Lord and the hog all the Hog Lordz are based on.

When creating the Hog Lordz NFT, what was the biggest obstacle your team had to overcome?
We wanted to create value for the collectors, not only value in the art but also in utility. Being big fans of the dotsama, we really wanted to utilize RMRK in some way and with the founder’s love for dungeons and dragons. The RPG we outlined in the medium article and the RMRK elements came out of discussions between the founders.
How many Hog Lordz are there?
5000 each being a unique computer-generated avatar. There are over 150 traits, with mini collections to find and collect within the traits.
Do you (your team) have a favorite Hog Lord?
Well with so many possibilities it is hard to choose just one. If I am forced to pick, I would say the Cosmic Hog skin, it will be crazy rare.
