What’s getting “airdrop scammed?” It’s bad…very bad. The Airdrop scam involves sending a free NFT to your wallet. Then, when you go to their website to sell it, they gain access to your wallet by asking for approval permissions. With one click of the link they have access to everything in your wallet. Yikes!

According to the Stop NFT Scams website, “If an airdropped NFT or Token is requiring you to provide an approval, transaction fee, or needing to go to an unknown website to connect your wallet to allow you to interact with and move them, you should stop what you are doing and not interact with them.

“In most cases, the tokens cannot actually be removed or sold, they are simply a fake honeypot without any real value. The NFTs likewise would not bring any real value as no one would actually want to interact with them.”

Remember, beware of free NFT giveaways that come from strange or unknown websites.
